Can we all just take a minute to let this sink in- I FINALLY got my hands on the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette! I had accepted that this  would never happen. I’ve missed out so many times and then I missed out on the split pans when they were first launched on Space NK so I accepted defeat- some things aren’t meant to be…

What is it that people say about things happening when you aren’t looking for them- that was the case with this! I’d spent a good 20 minutes wandering round the Space NK in Leeds looking for a ‘treat’ and was just about to leave when I saw 3 palettes beside the till- MY DREAMS HAD COME TRUE (slight exaggeration but y’know how it is)

Anyway, now you’ve heard my life story re getting my hands on the palette we can get onto what I think of it!

NUMBER 1- it is SO beautiful! I spent a good few days just looking at it- both inside and out it is so pretty and that’s before I’d even swatched the products.

Included in the palette is the much cult favourite highlighter in Champagne Pop (obvs) as well as Prosecco Pop, a more yellow toned highlight, and then three blushes- two mineral blushes in the shades Pamplemousse, bright pink and Amaretto, a warm rosy brown shade (less peach than it look sin the photos!), and then a luminous blush in Rose Spritz- think NARS Orgasm x100.

Honestly, I wasn’t as blown away as I expected to be- don’t get me wrong, I love the palette A LOT, but much like my hourglass strobe powder, the formula is quite powdery and can have quite a bit of fall out- but once you know this and expect it, it’s not a problem.

Review of the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

L-R; Rose Spritz, Amaretto, Pamplemousse

The blushes are all fab, so highly pigmented even the lightest touch can leave you looking a bit too flushed, so go steady if you’ve not tried them before (like me!). I find myself reaching for Amaretto most, but I gravitate towards more muted blushes in general and Pamplemousse is still very wearable!

I really don’t have a bad word to say about the palette- yes it may be a little (very little) less mind blowing than I expected but isn’t that always the case when you spend FOREVER lusting over a product you can’t seem to get your hands on?

Have you managed to add this palette to you collection at all? There were still a couple left when I get mine and it’s in stock on the Space NK website right now if you’re still looking to get one- I promise you won’t find a prettier palette!
