I have a serious love/hate relationship with my eyebrows and as a blonde I feel like it’s so much harder to commit to a killer brow (am I the only one here?)

The new benefit collection peaked my interest at first glance, the packaging alone looked fab and after seeing glimpses of the products I jumped at the chance to try Goof Proof out when it was free with ELLE magazine back in June (Yes I know, there’s little use telling you this now seen as the ship has well and truly sailed, but I’ve been off my game recently so am VERY late with this post!)

Then, just as I was about to write a post on it, my sister informed me that TWO more products from the line were free with magazines in July! I managed to get my hands on the clear brow gel- Ready, Set, Brow- with a copy of Marie-Claire and Gimme Brow with August’s Glamour (you might still be able to get hold of these if you act fast!)

Sadly, the shades of both the Goof Proof pencil and Gimme Brow are slightly off but I can almost get away them. Plus, with the limited selection- and cut price- I can’t really complain! Aside from this I really do love them both and can see the samples lasting me a good while.

I only wish I’d tried Gimme Brow sooner, I already have pretty thick brows but the micro-fibres really make a world of difference and it holds much better than my previous favourite- the Maybelline Brow Drama Mascara! I think I’ll probably prefer the size of the sample brush- which is the perfect size for my brows- to that of the full sized product, but I’ll definitely buy it once mine runs out!

As for ‘Goof Proof’, the colour payoff is great once you get into the product – it was a little scratchy and patchy at first but after a few uses it was much softer and much easier to apply and the shape of the product is also very helpful for creating definition as well as generally filling in brows! I’m not entirely sure I will be going back to buy the full-sized product as I still prefer other pencils but there’s no doubting it does what it says on the tin!

Finally comes ‘Ready, Set, Brow!’- the underdog of the range. I’d never owned nor desired to own a clear brow gel but I couldn’t pass up the freebie and it has been my hero of late! It’s perfect for minimal looks and can double as a clear mascara AND it set’s like nothing else! The price tag of £18.50 would put me off but I can see the sample size lasting me a long while- and that’s with almost daily use!

Have you tried the products from the (nearly) new range? What’re your favourites?

  • I have the Goof Proof brow pencil. It’s really easy to use, it’s just a little lighter than my natural eyebrows, it looks great when my hair dye starts to fade!!x
