Pixi Make-up Melting Wipes

Pixi Make-up Melting Wipes

This is a review I never saw myself writing- I love nothing more than gushing about my favourite products and those I think others will love, yet sometimes you can’t like a product no matter how much you try!

To be honest, I’m lazy with my skincare- I’ve tried many many many different cleansers but they all seem to present some issue and after a long day a laborious routine is something that goes straight out the window for me. I know I should take better care of my skin, and there will no doubt be many who think I’m insane for this, but 9 times out of 10 I resort to a make-up wipe (shame on me).

My normal go to brand is Simple, although they can sometimes be a little drying and irritate my eyes, they’re the best I’ve found.

On a whim I thought I’d treat myself and splurge on the Pixi ‘Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths’– they sound good, right? Wrong!

Sadly they don’t even hold a candle to their Simple counterparts.

Perhaps I got a dud packet, but the wipes themselves were incredibly dry- making it near impossible to remove any make-up. Even worse, they set my skin on fire like nothing I’ve tried before!

I can’t pinpoint anything on the ingredients list that I know doesn’t work on me but I’ll definitely be keeping tabs on other products that irritate me to try and pinpoint what it is.

I guess sometimes you don’t always get what you pay for!

Have you any other lazy makeup removing recommendations? Or know a makeup wipe that beats Simple’s? Pleaseee let me know if you do!

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that they didn’t work for you! And the burning skin doesn’t sound good at all! I personally haven’t tried these, but I tried “yes to cucumbers wipes” and they burned my face and I guess I had some allergic reaction 🙁 It was awful and took a while to clear up.

  • Oh wow, that’s really disappointing! I’ve heard so many great reviews about other pixi products so it’s sad to hear that their face wipes aren’t that good.

  • Man that sucks. At first I thought this was going to be a hit and even thought about purchasing it since I love Pixi products. Thanks for giving us a heads up, I’ll definitely avoid this and stick with my diy face wipes.
